Hello Sangeeta

This choice only lets you lot select one folder. My photos are organised in lots of folders and I desire to practise a slide show using multiple folders. This worked in Windows 8 merely I can't observe an pick to do it in Windows 10. Any communication, or have Microsoft arbitrarily removed the feature?

I call up you might find that well-nigh people take more than 1 folder with photos in

I'd similar to practice this both for my desktop background and for my lock screen

Thanks

Steve

I want to link all themes and/or folders together into i slideshow or theme. Is this possible in Windows 10?

Also, desire to add individual pictures/backgrounds into one theme from other themes and/or folders. Is this possible in Windows 10?

Thanks.

In Windows 7 information technology was easy to select multiple folders and have a slide show selecting photos from all of the folders at once. Now it seems to be impossible. Strange.

Generally, no.  The selection machinery lets you option a specific folder to use.  You can move the images in question into that folder.  This should be consistent with the slideshow beliefs from Windows viii.  If you want to use the "old" interface, y'all can utilize that from

control /name Microsoft.Personalization /page pageWallpaper

from a WIN+R Run prompt -- but that doesn't really exercise what y'all're asking for either that I'1000 aware of.  Using either interface you could potentially make a Pictures library view that has what you desire, but it's not a readily available characteristic currently that I'grand aware of.

The right people are aware of this asking.

There was a workaround in viii that's just not available here.  Please brand it possible to let the slideshow to draw from subfolders in the chosen folder, so it'due south choosing from all the categorized pictures in my picture anthology, not but the parent folder.

Thank you!

Tom

Generally there's but a new front end-end.  The wallpaper code itself still functions exactly the same. :)

I'grand sure I am among nigh ten million others who have their photos bundled into subfolders rather than dumped into 1 folder. I can't use the desktop photo background in Win ten for this reason.

It would also be prissy to have a photograph slide testify screensaver like we used to have in Media Center. That worked beautifully.

The slideshow core is nearly exactly the same as it was in Windows 8, which is itself generally the Windows vii engine improved for multi-monitor support, amid other then-new coolness.  More often than not it should still accept all bachelor functionality except in a view limited cases.

How had you achieved what you lot are trying to do previously?

The lock screen slideshow is generally the new version of the Media Center screensaver: you lot might want to check that out if you haven't already. :)

How had you achieved what y'all are trying to do previously?

On my desktop PCs running win 7, I had set the background to "slideshow" and selected my Pictures library as the "folder". Win 7 would shuffle the groundwork through all 7000+ photos in 240+ subfolders without a complaint. Win 10 volition only show pictures from one binder (no subfolders), usually only about 10 pictures in my case.

On my Win seven media heart HTPC (now running JRiver and Win 10), I had set Media Center to employ my pictures library equally the source. Once more, no problems shuffling through 7000+ photos in 240+ directories.

We don't utilise the Win x lock screen, so I haven't seen that yet.

Thanks for your interest. The electric current Win10 functionality in this area is pretty bad.
